About the Borough Council

The Borough of Adamstown is governed by a Mayor and Borough Council who are elected by the citizens of the Borough. The Mayor and Borough Council, acting together, are the governing body. All governing body members serve four-year terms. The governing body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies. Borough Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM at the Adamstown Borough Municipal Office, 3000 N. Reading Road, Adamstown.  Special Council meetings are occasionally scheduled when necessary.  All regularly scheduled meetings, special meetings and scheduling changes are published in the Reading Eagle Newspaper.  Meetings are open to the public and your attendance is encouraged.
