Parks & Recreation
Adamstown Borough has numerous ways to get involved. Click here for more information!
Community PoolThe community pool is located on West Main Street and is run by the Ephrata Rec Center. The facility is public and patrons can purchase an annual membership or pay the daily admittance fee. The pool typically opens on the Saturday before Memorial Day and is open seven days a week until closing day on Labor Day. Please contact the Ephrata Rec Center at 717-738-1167 for more information.
Community ParkThe park or "grove" is at the west end of town, between the swimming pool and elementary school. This is a public park open to all. There is a kitchen, pavilion and restrooms, all handicap accessible, that are available to rent for reunions or picnics for a non-refundable fee of $100. Payment is due at the time of the reservation. There is also a $10.00 deposit collected when the grove keys are picked up. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the keys. Please contact the Borough office for available dates.
Memorial ParkThis park is located at the intersection of Adamstown road and West Main Street, below the elementary school and is owned by the Borough, but has been developed into a memorial park by the Adamstown Lions Club. The club maintains the park for the enjoyment of area residents.
Tennis CourtsThe Borough has two tennis courts, west of the swimming pool facility. You can access the courts through the pool parking area. The courts are open to the public and used on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Walking TrailsThe Borough maintains several walking trails in the swimming pool/grove area. The trails lead from the grove, around the swimming pool, through the woods to Stoudtburg Road. Another branch of the trail will be added in the near future connecting it to Route 272.
Adamstown Area LibraryThe Adamstown Area Library recently moved into their new location at 110 W. Main Street (the former VFW building).
